The Ganja Regional Women's Public Union continues to implement the project "Promoting Family Law and Preventing Domestic Violence" implemented by the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Within the project, a meeting was held with the participation of lawyers of the Ganja City Law Office Number 1 of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Project Leader Maleyka Alizadeh spoke about the project, highlighted the relevance and importance of discussions with the participation of lawyers, and said that public lawyers needed the fight against violence. At the meeting, Ganja City Lawyer No. 1 Jamal Aliyev notified the participants about the reforms implemented in the Institute of Advocacy, free legal aid to the poor, and answered the questions of young people. Lawyers Saadat Seyidli, Tunzala Valiyeva, Rihat Mammadov and Ramil Hasanov, also made a statement about the real situation and told interesnting cases from their own work experience, and recommended that young people should learn their rights and not be indifferent to the events happening around them. The head of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ombudsman's Office, Sabuhi Abbasov, informed the youth about the amendments to the Family Code, and various laws regulating family institute, spoke about the reforms in the law enforcement field in the Republic of Azerbaijan and warned young participants of the even that they would be responsible for the consequences of possible future events based on the Criminal Code . Sabuhi Abbasov also informed about educational activities carried out with NGOs. The project expert spoke about the types of gender-based violence.
It should be noted that the main objective of the project is to support fight against gender-based violence and to support human rights protection by enlarging the enlightenment work. The main objective of the project is young people.
