On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the management of the Bar Association met with the leadership of the Council.

Mr. Parviz Alakbarov, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium and Mr. Farhad Najafov, Head of the Administration of the Presidium were received by Mr. Azay Guliyev, the Chairman of the Board and Mr. Faraset Gurbanov, executive director, at the administrative building of the Council.

Mr. Parviz Alakbarov presented the letter of congratulations of Mr. Anar Bagirov, the Chairman of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to Mr. Azay Guliyev and noted that the role of civil society institutions is important in the sphere of effective protection of the rights of our citizens and the Council's 10-year activity has been invaluable.

At the same time, Mr. Azay Guliyev stated his optimistic thoughts about prospects for further cooperation between two bodies and positively assessed the existence of opportunities for both organizations to undertake joint efforts in the field of human rights protection.
