On February 28th, 2024, as part of an official visit to Türkiye, Doctor of Law and Professor Mr Amir Aliyev, the Rector of the Academy of the Azerbaijani Bar Association (ABA), held a meeting with Ms Filiz Saraç, the President of the Istanbul Bar Association.

During the meeting, Mr Aliyev conveyed greetings from Mr Anar Baghirov, the Chairman of the ABA, and provided information about the main directions of the ABA's recent activities.

Subsequently, there was an exchange of views on the newly established Academy of the ABA.

Following this, the meeting discussed opportunities for collaborative efforts in the field of legal education between the bar associations of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, and agreements were reached on expanding this cooperation in the future.

Additionally, Mr Parviz Mammadzada, the advisor to the President of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Associations Federation, also made remarks during the meeting.
