A forum on the topic “The Role and Impact of Women Lawyers in the Legal Community” was held, organized by the Bar Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Women Lawyers’ Alliance of the same Association.
The event, held in a hybrid format, was also joined online by a member of
the Presidium of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan and
Chairwoman of the Women Lawyers’ Alliance, Dilara Afrasiyabova.
At the opening of the forum, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Bar Association,
Shukhrat Sadikov, greeted the participants and provided detailed information
about the goals and importance of the event. He emphasized the significance of
strengthening the role of women lawyers in society, supporting their
professional development, and encouraging their initiatives in the legal field.
Subsequently, Dilara Afrasiyabova spoke about the objectives behind the
establishment of the Alliance and the efforts made to enhance women lawyers’
professional development and participation in social life. She also discussed
the Alliance’s future plans, stressing the importance of international
cooperation.
The forum was also evaluated as an important platform for increasing the
role of women lawyers in their professional activities and for expanding
international cooperation.
In addition, the event envisaged the exchange of experience among women
lawyers in the future, as well as discussions on new projects and opportunities
for cooperation.
