A delegation led by Anar Baghirov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Bar Association, which is on an official visit to Bucharest at the invitation of the Romanian Bar Association, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania.
During the visit, the delegation met with embassy
staff and familiarized themselves with the working conditions of the diplomatic
mission.
Gudsi Osmanov,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to
Romania, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his satisfaction with the
meeting. He noted the dynamic development of Azerbaijan–Romania relations in
recent years and emphasized the particular importance of cooperation in the
legal field. The Ambassador stated that the embassy is ready to expand
cooperation with the Azerbaijan Bar Association and provide the necessary
support in this regard.
In his remarks, Anar Baghirov expressed his gratitude for the invitation and the
warm reception, noting that the main purpose of the visit to Romania is to
develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of advocacy and to
expand mutual exchange of professional experience.
The Chairman spoke about the reforms being
implemented in Azerbaijan aimed at improving and modernizing the judicial and
legal system and ensuring the sustainable development of the legal profession.
He emphasized that the foundations of the independence of the bar institution
were laid by the National Leader Heydar
Aliyev. Mr. Baghirov also recalled that the Constitution of independent
Azerbaijan was drafted under the leadership of the National Leader,
highlighting its crucial role in building a rule-of-law state.
Mr. Baghirov also commended the activities of Gudsi Osmanov, Ambassador of
Azerbaijan to Romania, and expressed his appreciation for the attention and
support extended to the delegation.
A number of issues of mutual interest were discussed
during the meeting.
At the conclusion of the visit, Anar Baghirov presented the embassy with the official emblem of the Bar Association and an elegantly produced copy of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a gift.
