On March 18–19, 2026,
an international event dedicated to women’s leadership was held in Paris, the
capital of France, organized by the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe
(FBE) under the theme “Women Leaders – Law, Business and Public Sector Summit”.
Mehriban Mammadova, a
member of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Women
Lawyers Alliance, participated in the prestigious summit, which brought
together women leaders from the fields of law, business, and the public sector.
The event was also attended by lawyers, advocates, judges, and representatives
of international organizations from various countries.
The main purpose of the
summit was to promote international cooperation among women legal
professionals, expand networking opportunities, facilitate the exchange of best
practices, and support the development of future women leaders.
During the opening
ceremony, the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, the President of the FBE Michael
Griem, and the Head of the Paris Bar Association Julie Couturier emphasized the
growing role of women in the legal profession, their leadership potential, and
the importance of international cooperation.
Within the framework of
the summit, Mehriban Mammadova held a number of bilateral meetings with
representatives of international organizations, discussing prospects for
cooperation, exchange of experience, and potential joint initiatives in the
legal field.
