Registration has opened for local lawyers and legal professionals wishing to participate in the European Young Bar Association (EYBA) Autumn Conference 2026, which will be held in Baku on 8–11 October 2026 and hosted by the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ABA).
The conference will bring together young lawyers,
legal professionals, and other representatives of the legal community from
various European countries. The event will primarily focus on the latest
developments and different approaches in the fields of artificial intelligence,
data protection, and digital rights. The conference will also provide an
opportunity for participants to exchange views and experiences, as well as to
expand their international professional networks.
Please note that the conference will be conducted
entirely in English. Participation is subject to a registration fee, and
registered applicants will receive information regarding the participation fee
and payment procedures via email.
The registration deadline for local lawyers and
legal professionals is 22 September 2026. As the number of places is limited,
registration will be subject to availability.
Upon completion of the conference, participants will
receive electronic certificates of participation.
It should be recalled that registration for
international participants opened earlier, and more than 70 lawyers and legal
professionals from various countries around the world have already confirmed
their participation.
The European Young Bar Association (EYBA) is a
non-profit organization that brings together young lawyers from across Europe.
Established on 23 May 1993 in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, the
Association serves as a common platform for cooperation among young lawyers and
bar organizations operating in various European countries. EYBA currently
represents more than 200,000 young lawyers and members of legal professional
organizations.
The Association's main areas of activity include
supporting the professional development of young lawyers, strengthening their
international connections, organizing training programs and exchanges of
experience, and promoting fundamental principles such as democracy, human
rights, access to justice, and the rule of law.
Since 2018, EYBA has held participatory status with
the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations of the Council
of Europe.
It is also worth noting that the Bar Association of
the Republic of Azerbaijan became a member of EYBA on 29 April 2023.
As part of the ongoing efforts to further strengthen cooperation between the ABA and EYBA, the upcoming Autumn Conference in Baku will serve as an important platform for expanding international professional networks, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience, and strengthening direct ties between Azerbaijani legal professionals and the European legal community.
