By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 22, 2018 "On Additional Measures for the Advancement of Legal Profession in the Republic of Azerbaijan", the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan is recommended to provide free legal services for the people with low income, in need of a legal advice.

As a continuation of the measures taken to implement this recommendation, on June 3, by the initiative of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Pirallahi District Executive Authority and the New Azerbaijan Party, Law Office of "Kangarli and Partners" for the first time in the history of Legal Profession paid a visit to the island of Chilov with helicopter and provided free legal aid to the population with low income living in the island.

Lawyers attending the island of Chilov provided various legal assistance to about 60 citizens in the Assembly Hall of the OGPD, familiarized themselves with their problems, gave relevant advice, filed petitions and complaints to various state and non-governmental organizations regarding these issues.

The Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan is expected to hold such events in the future on a regular basis.
