Yesterday, the next meeting of the Presidium of the Bar Association was held. Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Board Anar Bagirov briefed the meeting participants on the current activities of the Presidium, the progress of the oral stage of the specialty examinations on the admission, as well as the preparations for the 100th anniversary of the Lawyer Profession in Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the issues related to the transfer of lawyers to other law offices and the awarding of several lawyers were considered, at the same time the list of the law offices and individual lawyers' on duty for the month of July was approved.

In addition, the issue of admission of candidates who had successfully passed the specialty examinations to the membership of the Bar Association was reviewed and a positive decision was taken for those candidates.

The Rules "On Payment of Non-Cash Payments by the receiver of the Legal Aid" were approved at the meeting and it was decided to start non-cash payments from October 1 of the current year.

In addition, the law offices and individual lawyers were advised to provide citizens and low-income families with free legal aid on 30 July 2019 on the day of the 100th anniversary of Legal Profession in Azerbaijan.

In the end, other issues of importance to the Bar Association's activities were considered.
