Today, the general meeting of the Sumgait City Law Office № 1 was held in the administrative building of the Board of the Azerbaijani Bar Association.

Opening the meeting, Anar Bagirov briefed the participants on the recent reforms carried out by the Board, the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Legal Profession in Azerbaijan, as well as the work done to improve the activities of the law offices and to strengthen the material and technical basis of the organizations.

In addition, the current activity of the Sumgait City Law Office № 1 and the measures to be taken to improve the office's work were discussed.

Lawyer Samil Atakishiyev, head of Sumgait City Law Office № 1, appealed to the general meeting participants to relieve him of his duties, and his appeal was approved by the general meeting.

Later the open election of the head of the law office was held and the lawyer, Fazil Nahmatov, was elected as the head of the Sumgait City Law Office № 1.

The leadership of the Azerbaijani Bar Association congratulated Fazil Nahmatov, the new elected head of the office on his election and wished him success in his future activities.
