On February 16, 2022, the Azerbaijani Bar Association officially joined the activities of the regional project “Strengthening the profession of lawyer in line with European standards”* funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe within the framework of the Partnership for Good Governance 2019-2021 (PGGII).
The Bar will be participating as an observer in the online presentations of the analytical review VIII “Impact of gender-related issues on the profession and on access to justice”, in the joint meetings of judges and lawyers on implementation of CCJE Opinion no. 16 on the relations between judges and lawyers and in the delivery of the concept paper and road map on supporting the women lawyers’ associations, furthermore, members of young lawyers' associations in Azerbaijan will be involved in related regional project activities.
In addition, members of the ABA and other legal professionals from Azerbaijan are invited to register in the “Regional Cooperation Network of Lawyers” to participate in discussions on their professional activities:
